ABOUT ME

The guy you see in front of you is holding two books: Plato and Aristotle (complete works, of course). He keeps them slightly askew for effect; yet making sure that the names are in clear frame within the cropped photo he ardently tweaked maybe six times.

He scaffolds his face with a hand resembling an inverted semi-colon cursed with an extra tail. This placement is meant to imbue some passive intellectualism he hopes contrasts keenly with the ruggedness of his three-day-old beard (if we can agree on that moniker). Maybe it accentuates instead; he still isn't quite sure.

His skinny tie with angled silver stripes betrays his desire to return to academia yet remain veneered in the techno-urban-hipster-minority mentality he worked so hard to absorb, yet publicly rejects.

He'll deny this, of course, every word. He may even suggest that what you see in not a fabrication or bloggaluted persona, but rather a representation of the lie we all tell ourselves to convince ourselves whom it is we want to be, separate from other's impressions.

He thinks he is right. So do I.
